I was more than excited when I heard that Prince William proposed to his long term girlfriend, Kate Middleton IN MY HOMETOWN, Kenya!
Im not sure if I was more excited about where he proposed or whether it was the adoring fact that he gave her his late mother, Princess Di's engagement ring.
God bless the happy couple :)
& may his late mother, the Princess of the people, Rest in peace.
The cropped pixie look is actually looking great on this girl. She really has come a long way!
Looking like a modern day Twiggy in a feather and vintage lace Rafael Lopez for Atelier Mayer cocktail mini at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 premiere.
A wonderful poem by a wonderful poet.. A dedication to one of the most romantic men in history.
He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
A tale as old as time - but not one of my favourite Shakespeare plays. No.. Antony & Cleopatra was my all time favourite.
I watched 'Letters to Juliet' for the second time today and couldnt help but smile or cry at every other scene - and Im generally not a very sentimental person.
It is the first time EVER where I have referred to a movie as 'pretty.' Seriously, I couldnt believe myself when I said those words out loud when I first saw it - not to mention how beautiful the scenary shown was. & for the first time ever, have I tolerated Taylor Swift!
You may have to 'pause' the music on my mixpod on my page to listen to this :)
Not to mention, how GORGEOUS was the cast?!
His hair is a LOT longer in the movie - but he is gorgeous nonetheless!
I think what really struck me about it was the letter that was read out in the end. The response to the letter written 50 years before. I will put them both down.
I didn't go to him, Juliet. I didn't go to Lorenzo. His eyes were so full of trust I promised I'd meet him and run away together because my parents don't approve. But, instead, I left him waiting for me below our tree - waiting and wondering where I was. I'm in Veronoa now. I return to London in the morning and I am so afraid. Please, Juliet tell me what I should do. My heart is breaking and I have no one else to turn to. Love, Claire
Dear Claire, What and If are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I'd like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet
Those powerful words actually signify so much more than what we could imagine.
